Counterbalance forklifts are popular pieces of equipment in the material handling business. They are actually popular equipment found in warehouses and factories all-around the world. The leading lift truck producers like for instance Linde, Toyota and Mitsubishi all create counterbalance lift trucks. They are existing in a variety of fuel options such as gas, diesel or electric. Normally, a counterbalanced forklift truck includes the following components:
The Cab is the area that has a seat designed for the individual operating ti and houses the control pedals, levers, steering wheel, a dashboard containing operator readouts and a variety of switches. The Truck Frame is the foundation of the equipments that each of the different parts, the axles, wheels, power source, mast and counterweight are all attached to. The frame can also have hydraulic fluid tanks and fuel tanks constructed as part of its assembly. The Mast is the vertical assembly that does the majority of the work raising and lowering the forklift’s load. Â
Made of heavy iron the counterweight is connected to the rear of the forklift frame. The objective of the counterweight is to offset the cargo being carried and transferred. Utilizing an electric forklift, the big lead-acid battery itself could function as part of or all of the counterweight. The Power Supply can have an internal combustion engine that can be powered by gasoline, LP gas, CNG gas or diesel. Electric lift trucks are driven by either fuel cells which provide power to electric motors or a battery. The electric motors may be either AC or DC kinds. Â
Fork attachments are numerous kinds of material handling attachments that are available comprising carpet poles, pole handlers, side shifters, multipurpose clams, carton clamps, slip-sheet attachments, fork positioners, roll clamps and container handlers.
When needing to park pallets closely together, the counterbalance lift truck is the ideal electric lift designed for the job. According to Forklift Forks, there are many benefits to using a counterbalance lift rather than straddle-leg and fork-over designs. They do have a few disadvantages though. A counterbalanced forklift could carry pallets straight off the floor since there are no stabilization legs to interfere. The main disadvantage of this particular unit of forklift is that the weight capacity and lift height would normally be less compared to the other kinds.Â
